3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- have general knowledge of culture;
- in the course of one’s artistic activities, use knowledge of the historical development and contemporary tendencies of theatre, music, dance and other related artistic disciplines;
- know the historical development of the field;
- analyse and evaluate particular features of a theatre performance;
- use knowledge of music theory and basic musical skills in one’s artistic practice;
- know the technique of playing a musical instrument, the basics of sight-reading and the basics of simple improvised accompaniment;
- know the standard norms of professional ethics;
- follow, actively search out and use information sources about new tendencies in their field.
Perform artistic activities based on the field's focus, meaning:
- have oratory, singing, movement and dance skills and use them in the course of one’s artistic activity;
- interpret prose and poetry texts conveying an artistically compelling and authentic message;
- depict a dramatic character in a production according to the director's wishes;
- perform as a working artist under the conditions of theatre operations;
- develop one’s personal creativity and skills of improvisation, or collaborate creatively when studying a role or realising a theatre performance;
- concentrate and deal with the mental and physical strain of an artistic performance;
- develop one’s personal creative abilities by means of individual preparation, personal practice and other forms of study.
