3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

General competences:

General competences has been acquired under previous education.

Vocational competences:

operate conventional and numerically controlled machine tools for machining of workpieces;
adjust manufacturing machinery, equipment and lines (e.g. machining, forming) and technology-related handling equipment using the industrial and technological documentation;
clamp tools and manufacturing equipment and adjust their position;
create the CNC machine production programs;
implement the modification, correction and testing of programs for CNC machines;
introduce operators onto the service of the reconditioned production machinery, equipment and lines when performing the technological operations and instruct them in the necessary extent;
check the size, shape and relative position of surfaces and surface quality of workpieces;
set up working procedures, define working conditions, select instruments, tools, gauges and other work equipment for performing technological operations (including the use of appropriate software on the PC);
distinguish machined materials according to their standardized designation, know their properties and take it into account in their treatment;
search for information in the standards, catalogues and other information sources;
work with a personal computer and other means of information and communication technologies.

4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE

The graduate is employed in the field of middle management positions in engineering, in work activities related to the adjustment, operation and maintenance of a wide range of machinery, equipment and lines.
Examples of possible jobs: metal lathe hand, miller, metal grinder, driller, NC machine operator.
