General competences:
General competences has been acquired under previous education.
Vocational competences:
- install, repair, and maintain utility lines for hot and cold water, sewage, heating and gas, including the installation of fittings, fixtures, boilers, appliances, pressure regulation equipment and mounting of meters;
- assemble and connect segments of pipe by gluing, welding, soldering, and pressing;
- repair damaged and defective piping, select the manner and process of repair;
- insulate and anchor internal pipes;
- test pipes to ensure they are watertight;
- test gas lines;
- manually produce metal and select non-metal materials;
- mark the routes of interior utility lines;
- use materials based upon knowledge of their attributes, use them economically;
- work with tools, work aids, and devices used in pipe-fitting work, use mechanized manual tools;
- select work processes for the installation of piping;
- work with design documentation, operational documents and other technical documentation;
- be knowledgeable of current legal regulations and use them;
- read construction plans, prepare simple drawings for parts of buildings and draw pipelines;
- prepare cost calculations and budgets for the installation of piping and accessories;prepared for oxy-acetylene torch welding (ZK 311 W 01), plastic polyfusion (ZK 15 P 2) and butt welding (ZK 11 P 2, 3), hard copper soldering (ZP 912 – 9 W 31), soft copper soldering (ZP 942 – 8 W 31).
