3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:
 
  • communicate independently and fluently in mother tongue, give reason for his own attitude;
  • work in a team;
  • use basic mathematics when needed;
  • apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

  • have a general overview of the construction of motor vehicles;
  • accomplish simple tasks in maintaining, caring for, and lubricating highway motor vehicles;
  • perform detailed work when replenishing liquids;
  • know the types of hand tools and uses hand tools and other instruments when performing maintenance tasks on motor vehicles, when cleaning them, and when performing simple repairs.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate can take a job based on providing assistance, preparatory, service and handling work in automobile services; in mounting wheels and tyres, and when operating the various machines and mechanical equipment used in automobile services.

Examples of possible job opportunities in this field include: worker in a tyre-service shop, assistant worker in an automobile service station, worker in full-service car wash, and worker in a mechanic's shop (handling oil changes and anti-corrosion protection).
