3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- use knowledge of the historical development of art culture and arts and crafts in their work;
- ensure the aesthetic design of the final product and precision of its execution in the realization of arts and crafts works;
- handle the traditional processes and techniques, principles of designing products and know how to prepare their manufacture;
- schedule individual work operations and ensure compliance of the various stages in the implementation of the workflow in the material;
- select suitable types of basic and auxiliary materials for manufacturing a particular product with the appropriate functional and aesthetic parameters with regard to the wholesomeness of the product;
- manufacture arts and crafts decorative and utility objects from metals according to drawings, original designs or graphic designs with appropriate technological processes and techniques, including surface treatment;
- exercise the relevant standards and regulations in the field of conservation;
- perform repairs and reconstructions of the original products or works;
- observe technological discipline;
- be professionally prepared to obtain one type of welding license i.e. to be ready to pass the examination before the Commissioner in the extent of the course for welding in the protective atmosphere or for bottled welding electrode or for technical welding gases in the specialization for the blacksmith and locksmith work in the specialization for artificial jewellery metalwork.
