3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- take responsibility for completion of tasks in work or study;
- adapt own behaviour to circumstances in solving problems;
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least A2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;

Vocational competences:
- drive and operate machinery and equipment, adjust their operation, set working conditions and parameters;
- monitor and control the operation mode and working machinery and equipment according to measurement, controlling and signalling devices, parameters and quality of processed products and in emergency conditions;
- check the technical condition of machinery and equipment and their accessories, clean, lubricate and treat them to perform their routine maintenance, remove their minor faults, add and exchange operating materials, take care of tools and equipment used;
- conduct operational testing of equipment (e.g. after installing a new machine, after its repair, etc.);
- implement the required sampling, testing, measurement, quality assessment etc of properties before, during and after processing;
- evaluate the influence of operating parameters and technological conditions of work carried out operations on the quality of their outcome, identify potential causes of poor results carried out the technological process or work operation;
- hand-cut and processed metal materials and plastics;
- keep the prescribed documentation about the operation, maintenance and repairs of machinery and equipment;
- work with drawings, diagrams, standards, work with the technology, service and other technical documentation;
- distinguish characteristics of the materials, processing technology and the specifics of machinery depending on the professional career.
