3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- ensure preparation and implementation of investment projects;
- provide data for the selection procedure for the tenders of construction contracts;
- carry out technical supervision of investor;
- prepare the project documentation of simple ground structures including additional construction work;
- assess the static function of simple constructional elements of steel and wooden building structures;
- perform simple calculation of costs, billing and know the principles of budgeting;
- design construction site equipment for simple buildings and prepare the time schedule of the work course;
- manage the construction and assembly works;
- be in charge of supply construction preparation (preparation of the pre-production, trade contracts, production preparation and calculation of costs, staking and takeover of the site and its facilities);
- use simple means for setting-out lengths, heights and angles to control the spatial and vertical framing points, know the accuracy of the measurements according to Czech Technical Standards;
- perform staking of simple construction;
- plan and manage the use of construction machinery including maintenance;
- assess the properties and quality of building materials from the technical, technological, utility, economic, aesthetic and ecological perspective;
- choose the mode of storage and handling of construction materials and products and manage these activities;
- monitor compliance with technological and working procedures of the shell construction, finishing works and construction modifications of ground structures;
- assess the optimal technological and working conditions (air temperature, humidity, etc.);
- keep a site diary, construction documentation, records of materials and products, evidence of timesheets;
- manage subordinates, monitor and evaluate the quantity and quality of work.
