3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- take responsibility for completion of tasks in work or study;
- adapt own behaviour to circumstances in solving problems;
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least A2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;

Vocational competences:
- have knowledge of the standards in technical and artistic documentation of the production and processing of glass blanks, glass and jewellery products;
- prepare the workplace and the necessary technical documentation, work with tools, operate machines and equipment, perform routine maintenance of machinery and equipment;
- distinguishing properties of production materials, control of technological processes in manufacturing technology, in surface treatment and finishing products operations;
- select suitable work progress and technological conditions, produce goods in the required quality;
- keep technological discipline in the manufacture of jewellery products, in assemblage and in finishing;
- demonstrate manual dexterity in the production and finishing of the products, participate in visual design;
- assess the quality of products, carry out entry and exit inspection and registration of products;
- pack products and prepare its shipment in the prescribed manner;
- apply basic marketing skills;
- assess the impact of production activities on the environment, act economically and in accordance with the strategy of sustainable development;
- dispose of materials, energy, waste, water and other substances economically with regard to the environment.
