3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:
 
  • be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
  • formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
  • educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
  • adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
  • work with information, use ICT;
  • use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
  • know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
  • act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
  • apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

  • use various kinds of technical and electrical documentation, understand electrical drawings and diagrams;
  • draw circuit elements and wiring diagrams of electrical and electronic devices and equipments;
  • understand functioning, communication manufacturing and installation electrical charts and electronic wiring diagrams and apply relations shown in the diagrams and charts in preparing , performing and follow-up checking of work operations;
  • solve and design electrical and electronic circuits and equipments, choose appropriate components, realise and commission circuits and equipment, check their functions and measure their operation parameters;
  • wire in, put into operation, diagnose, and repair equipment with passive and active electronic components and integrated circuits, using technical documentation;
  • dismantle, repair, and correctly reassemble parts of electronic equipment and devices;
  • distinguish various kinds of electrical devices and their parts, do repairs based on diagnostics and reactivate and put these devices into operation;
  • choose the best measuring method for electrical and electronic equipments and devices;
  • assess measured values for control, diagnostics and troubleshooting;
  • adjust operational parameters, reactivate devices and put them into operation;
  • apply technical knowledge of machining, material treatment and using different metal and non-metal materials;
  • perform preparatory and final work when making mechanical components of electrical devices, equipment, and different assembly fixtures.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate can be employed as electronics mechanic in various fields using electronic devices and equipment as well as in their production, assembly, putting into operation, repairs and usage.
