General competences:

  • formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
  • educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
  • adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
  • work with information, use ICT;
  • use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
  • know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
  • act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
  • apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

  • use measuring devices of an electronic and mechanical nature;
  • manage the maintenance, adjustment and complex repair of motorised vehicles' electronic accessories;
  • work with the pertinent diagnostic technology;
  • understand the construction and function of the equipment that they maintain and repair;
  • replace individual electronic elements according to the technical documentation;
  • carry out the basic car repair tasks, technical inspections and checks;
  • carry out diagnostics and repairs on the individual car units with respect to their electrical and electronic equipment.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate can take a job based on activities involved in the assembly, maintenance and repair of electrical installations, car equipment, especially in the diagnostic and repair centres of car service stations or at technical control centres. Depending on the length of the professional experience they can be assigned to the labouring or technical professions in the given sphere.
