3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- have knowledge of the historical development of art culture and arts and crafts;
- use in the implementation of art craft works aesthetic principles, interrelations and context;
- work out technical drawings and complete technical documentation for a specific art craft product;
- master the principles of engineering products and prepare for them for the production;
- manage traditional and new technological procedures and techniques of manual processing, machining and processing of material;
- have knowledge of basic decorative techniques of art craft wood processing;
- set a schedule of workflow and ensure compliance of the various stages of the workflow in the implementation in the material;
- select suitable material for making a particular product with adequate functional and aesthetic characteristics;
- prepare production of replicas or copies of a particular historical subject or art craft product;
- work out joinery or wood-carving products or perform upholstery and decoration work according to drawings, original designs or graphic designs with appropriate processes and techniques, including surface treatment;
- use relevant standards and regulations in the field of conservation;
- carry out repairs and reconstruction of the original products or works.
