3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- produce basic types of wood and furniture products according to technological processes;
- use machines and equipment with regard to the processing materials and required parameters of products;
- cooperate on the technological processes in the production of furniture and semi-finished and finished timber products, assess their eligibility for the production a given product;
- choose the technological processes for the production of furniture or wood products or constructions eventually parts thereof, including the preference of surface finishing and chemical protection of products;
- work with the technical documentation in the operation of production processes , in the implementation of control processes and in operational decision-making in the production;
- monitor compliance and course of established technological processes and assess the quality of the different sectors of the production;
- organize the division of work among workers, prepare documentation to calculate costing and payroll;
- keep operating records and documentation;
- prepare operational and long-term plans, cooperate in the calculation of the product prices;
- work with special application programs in relevant professional field;
- monitor trends in the industry and use such knowledge in the production.
