3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;
- exert norms and prescriptions in the field.
Vocational competences:
- use knowledge of the historical development and current trends in visual culture and artistic creation in its field;
- use arts and expressive possibilities of materials and implementation of technological processes and techniques;
- apply the technology, production and economic aspects of implementation when creating art design, work out the technical documentation;
- have a complex overview of the types of materials used, handle them economically and ecologically, assess their properties and decide on their choice in terms of their expressive possibilities and the resulting impression of the realized product;
- manage traditional and new techniques and technological procedures, choose and defend the most appropriate procedure of the implementation of visual design, continuously evaluate the quality of the results of partial working operations;
- create simple to highly artistically sophisticated design following the specialization of the field;
- self-create technically simple to highly demanding art designs for industrial production and designs unique objects using appropriate procedures;
- correctly use, in compliance with the relevant work operations, corresponding machinery, equipment, tools, instruments and devices;
- present the work appropriately depending on the specific situation;
- have knowledge of marketing tools and perform basic marketing activities in relation to the field;
- manage principles of professional behaviour and psychological foundations of negotiation with the customer, business partners and colleagues at work;
- perform basic economic activities in relation to the anticipated professional life.
