3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- take responsibility for completion of tasks in work or study;
- adapt own behaviour to circumstances in solving problems;
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least A2+ of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;

Vocational competences:
- assemble, adjust and repair firearms, mount their accessories;
- diagnose the condition of weapons, measure their properties, carry out the functional, technological, ballistic and other special tests (strong-hold test), identify and remove defects;
- perform maintenance, service and control of weapons and their accessories, modify and adapt them in accordance with applicable legal provisions regarding arms and ammunition to the customer requirements;
- carry out official degradation of weapons;
- manipulate the arms and ammunition in accordance with legislative provisions;
- hand-cut and work out materials of metal, wood and other non-metallic materials, modify by machine tooling the shape and dimensions of the parts of arms;
- finish after machine tooling weapon parts, match and join them together;
- modify the surface of the parts with mechanical and chemical processes;
- measure and control the size, shape and relative position of surfaces, surface quality of components;
- service machinery, equipment, tools, perform their routine maintenance and minor defects;
- choose work procedures, tools and instruments for technical materials processing;
- work with drawings, diagrams, standards, with the technology, service and other technical documentation, obtain needed information from them.
