3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

General competences:

be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language;
effectively organize and manage and participate in a team, including the ability to lead a team and cope with problematic situations;
know how to use information and ICT, have basic ICT skills;
use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

work with art designs and technical documentation;
choose the right tools and instruments and perform their basic maintenance and treatment; observe his/her work schedule, organize work and keep work and operational records; to choose the right decorating materials, to make preparations and to carry out basic treatment;
choose the right decorating techniques and observe their technological procedures;
decorate the products based on a model and own design, using different techniques;
decorate with decorating machines and operate and set decorating machines;
use materials and energies efficiently;
evaluate and repair any defect occurred during decorating;
classify and keep records of products.

4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE

The graduate can work as an employee in ceramics decorating and glass treatment. After having gained some necessary work experience in the field, the graduate will be ready for private enterprising.
Examples of possible jobs: ceramics painter, glass painter.
