3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- carry out basic electrotechnical work relating to the design, manufacture, assembly, connection, adjustment, testing, maintenance, and operation of electrical equipment;
- draw up and make use of various types of electrotechnical documentation, creates schematic diagrams of electrical and electronic circuitry elements and electric and electronic devices and equipment;
- understand electrotechnical diagrams and manufacturing plans, comprehends and interprets the meaning of the illustrated relations;
- design, implement, and repair electrical power distributions and domestic wiring;
- design, implement, and repair industrial electrical networks;
- dismantle, disassemble, and repair electrical machines, devices, and equipment;
- handle connection of electric and electronic components into electrotechnical devices;
- diagnose and eliminate malfunctions from electrotechnical equipment, bring the equipment back into working order;
- measure the basic electrical magnitude on electrotechnical equipment and devices;
- make use of various methods of measurement in correspondence to the required degree of precision, and the types of devices and the electrotechnical characteristics of the parts or equipment to be measured while making electrotechnical measurements.
