3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- use the right tools, aids, instruments, machinery and equipment;
- know the basic types, names, properties and use of metals;
- know the types, properties and use of other materials;
- choose materials based on the purpose of their use and to evaluate the suitability of their combination;
- know basic technological procedures of forming products made of different materials;
- take into account interrelations of the structural solution of products and the proposed design;
- respect functional, technological, economic, safety and art aspects in constructing products;
- design simple as well as complicated products and to prepare cover reports;
- make simple as well as highly complicated models based on art designs and technical documentation;
- use relevant software applications in creating art designs and documentation;
- follow new trends in the field and to search for and use sources of inspiration;
- perform basic marketing activities and to behave professionally in contact with customers and business and work partners.
