3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language;
- effectively organize and manage and participate in a team, including the ability to lead a team and cope with problematic situations;
- know how to use information and ICT, have basic ICT skills;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- read production drawings of simple mechanical and optical parts and units;
- make shop diagrams of simple mechanical and optical parts based on assembly drawings, a sample part, etc.;
- search for necessary supplemental information in shop tables, standards and nomograms and make additional calculations of angles, spacing, etc.;
- choose the technological procedure for making simple optical parts based on production documentation;
- distinguish optical materials and determine and respect their properties in working with these materials;
- choose and use auxiliary materials, such as abrasives, polishing agents, lubricants, cooling liquids, cements and adhesives, etc.;
- choose the right method and device for clamping tooled optical parts and clamp optical materials to divide and tool them without causing damage to them;
- choose, set, modify and use tooling, sanding and polishing tools;
- glue semi-products into blocks and divide them by hand and machine cutting;
- work semi-products by drilling, milling, hand and machine sharpening and polishing;
- de-block, wash and clean parts;
- handle semi-products and finished optical parts without causing damage to them;
- measure lengths, angles and accuracy of the shape, using regular shop measuring devices;
- maintain used tools and equipment.
