3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be familiar with various methods of learning, use sources of information well, show functional literacy;
- understand assignments or identify the cores of problems, exert variable solutions, work both independently and within a team;
- communicate in one foreign language at the level of at least B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages;
- cope with changing socio-economic conditions, be financially literate;
- be aware of the labour market mechanisms, and of the employee-employer relationships, act on career decisions responsibly, understand the significance of lifelong learning;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed in daily situations;
- work with the means of information and communication technologies, exploit adequate sources of information, handle information effectively;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- support values of local, national, European and world cultures, recognize the value of life;
- exert fundamentals of health protection, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety;

Vocational competences:
- use knowledge of the historical development and current trends in visual culture and artistic creation within its field;
- use own creative thinking, clearly articulate creative idea and the content of artistic intention;
- choose art solution based on the analysis of a given task, evaluate and defend it;
- use visual and expressive possibilities of implementing technological processes and techniques and of implementing used materials with regard to their characteristics and the final effect of the product;
- apply when creating art design technology, technological, manufacturing and economic aspects of its implementation, draw up the technical documentation;
- present own work appropriately, in relation to the specific circumstances carry out basic marketing activities in relation to the field;
- have knowledge of principles of professional behaviour and the basics of dealing with customers, business partners and colleagues;
- have a comprehensive overview of the types of used materials, treat them economically and ecologically, assess their characteristics and decide on their choice;
- have knowledge of technological processes and techniques, choose the best implementation process of fine-art design, continuously evaluate the quality of partial results of working operations;
- use correctly and in accordance with relevant working operations appropriate machinery, equipment, tools and materials;
- monitor the development of new technologies, materials, technical equipment, etc. and implement them into practice;
- have knowledge of basic economic activity in relation to the expected professional life.
