3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- read design documentation and set up the technological process for manufacturing foundry moulding equipment;
- draw out a foundry procedure diagram according to a diagram of components;
- make the moulding equipment according to the design documentation and technological procedure;
- repair damaged moulding equipment from wood, propose measures to reduce damage;
- distinguish between individual kinds of materials used when making moulding equipment;
- use new materials for making moulding equipment including tipping edges or sheathing part of the models with metal;
- prepare mixes for cementing, gluing and laminating;
- operate wood-working machines, maintain them and remove minor faults;
- set up the cutting conditions depending on the material being processed;
- check the dimensions, shape and quality of the moulding equipment;
- use the various measuring equipment necessary to make and check moulding equipment;
- propose programmes for digitally controlled machines, debug them and check the machining;
- be familiar with the basics of metallurgy and know the basics ways of casting forms;
- propose constructions of foundry moulding equipment and the technological procedures to make them.
