3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- distinguishes individual measuring devices and knows their characteristics;
- effectively and safely use measuring devices and take care of them;
- process records and printouts of measurements performed;
- make use of tables, registries, and diagrams displaying characteristics of semiconductor elements;
- orient him or herself in technical documentation and work with professional literature;
- work with standard software applications and program equipment on computers of the IBM PC type and those that are compatible with them;
- work with transmitters, converters, amplifiers, moderators, power cylinders, converters of unit signals, logical and control circuits, and memory circuits;
- know hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic and universal regulatory systems;
- work with switching circuits and components, with multilayer semiconductor components, analogue integrated circuits and logical circuits;
- be familiar with the means of production and distribution of electrical energy;
- know electrical traction, electrical heating and cooling, electrical light and illumination, electrical components in motor vehicles, electricity installation, electrical engineering, electrical power, electrical machines and devices, and electronic equipment.
