3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:

General competences has been acquired under previous education.

Vocational competences:

  • carry out the work according to the stove material and technical standards;
  • build, assemble, rebuild and repair individually built stoves, ovens and fireplaces;
  • assemble, install, repair and maintain modular and manufactured heaters;
  • connect local heaters to chimneys including test connection;
  • heat in local heaters;
  • carry out masonry, concrete and tile work related with chimney works;
  • dimension and design individually built heaters;
  • select and use materials and products for stove work, determine their needs, transported them to the job site and prepare them for processing;
  • choose technology and procedures for the construction, installation, rebuilding and repair of individually built stoves, cooking stoves and fireplaces;
  • choose, operate and maintain tools, machines and equipment for masonry and stove work;
  • use the technical documentation of heaters, and make simple drawings and sketches.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate is employed in the field of construction. He is able to design individually built heaters (stoves, ovens and fireplaces), and perform stove work: installation, construction, maintenance and cleaning of individually built and industrially produced local heaters, connect heaters to the chimney, perform flue gas measurement and control paths.
Examples of possible jobs: stove builder, fitter of heating devices, builder of heating devices.
