3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:

General competences has been acquired under previous education.

Vocational competences:

  • use knowledge of the historical development and current trends in visual culture and visual art at work;;
  • apply own artistic opinion, feel artistically, think and express themselves independently;
  • make decisions among artistic designs upon the analysis of the assigned task, evaluate and defend them;
  • use artistic and expressive possibilities of individual technological processes, techniques and materials;
  • apply in the creation of visual design technical, production and economic aspects of it ´s implementation;
  • draw up the technical documentation;
  • master the traditional and new technological processes and techniques;
  • have a comprehensive overview of the types used materials, assess their properties and decide on their choice in terms of their expressive possibilities and the resulting visual tone of the product;
  • used corresponding equipment, machinery, tools etc. correctly and in accordance with the relevant workflows;
  • carry out the work perfectly and in accordance with the visual intent and high demands for quality results;
  • create plastic objects shaped decorative elements, etc. for interior and exterior;
  • cast simple to highly demanding models and artworks, manufacture moulds;
  • manufacture technically simple to highly demanding sculptures, reliefs, shaped decorative elements, etc.;
  • present their work appropriately;
  • master principles of professional behaviour, communication, teamwork;
  • have a good command of the basic economic activities with regards to the expected professional life.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate is employed in the field of sculptural works performing activities consisting of the reproduction and manufacture of challenging sculptural objects, restoration or designing of plastic stone objects for exterior or interior.
He/she can work either independently or in design studios and workshops in companies engaged in the creation and production of the relevant product range, also he/she can find employment in the technical preparation of production or as master of workshop or a section dealing with the arts and crafts creation and production.
Examples of possible jobs: sculptor, designer and manufacturer of products in the relevant field of creation and production.
