3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- issue medicinal preparations, which are not dependent on a medical prescription, and health preparations and hand over information on their correct usage and storage;
- prepare bougies and diagnostic healthcare preparations in vitro;
- issue medicinal preparations and healthcare preparations on order forms from healthcare facilities and veterinary facilities;
- order medicines, auxiliary substances, healthcare preparations and other products related to health care, ensure they are duly received, stored and refilled;
- ensure the ordering of auxiliary and operational materials;
- carry out a check of the medicines and auxiliary substances;
- prepare medicinal preparations, including the preparation and control of cytostatic and other activities related to their preparation;
- ensure the aseptic preparation of medicinal preparations, receipt, control and storage of medicinal preparations, their handling and that there are sufficient supplies;
- ensure the receival, control and storage of health equipment and laundry, handling, sterilising and disinfecting them and that there are sufficient stocks of them;
- prepare and control radio-pharmaceutical devices under the professional supervision of a health worker and in accord with the instructions of a radiological physicist, especially the receipt and installation of generators, the disposal of remnants and decontaminating the workplace;
- take part in the preparation of technological rules for preparing medicinal preparations under the professional supervision of a pharmacist, monitor the supplies of medicinal preparations and health care equipment in healthcare facilities, in particular their correct storage and take part in the preparation of radio-pharmaceuticals.
