3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

General competences:

communicate independently and fluently in mother tongue, give reason for his own attitude;
seek out essential information from the text and other sources;
understand the task and solve simple problems, find the information necessary for the solution;
work or learn under supervision with certain autonomy, apply basic rules and procedures;
cooperate with others when solving simple problems and situations;
apply basic mathematic skills to solve simple tasks;
work with a personal computer and its basic and application software;
apply principles of safety and health protection at work, fire protection and fire prevention;
act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
have a basic knowledge of career opportunities in the labor market and of the job search process.

Vocational competences:

carry out basic carpentry, dimension and ground on simple carpenter construction according to the detailed drawing;
bind and assemble simple carpentry constructions, repair damaged carpentry structures;
choose workflow to carpentry work in accordance with detailed drawings;
shape the wood and materials on the basis of wood used in carpentry work by hand or with a machine;
choose and use appropriate materials and products for carpentry, transport them to the place of processing and prepare them before processing;
select and use tools, work equipment and means of mechanization and maintain them;
perform simple calculations of material consumption;
use the technical documentation of construction carpentry, work out simple drawings and sketches of carpentry constructions.

4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE

The graduates may perform specific works in the field of construction when providing simple carpentry works, in the production of formwork for concrete constructions, binding and assembling of carpentry constructions of roofs, wooden buildings and auxiliary carpentry constructions.
Examples of possible jobs: carpenter.
