3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- know the principle and functioning of machines, devices, and equipment used in chemical laboratories and operation sites, know how to work with them, and ensure their optimal functioning in respect to laboratory and technological requirements and minimal impact on the environment and the work environment;
- know the principles, procedures, and application of chemical analysis methods, take and prepare samples for analyses, choose the best method of analysis, measure according to instructions, process and assess results, and use knowledge of chemical analysis methods in checking the quality of pharmaceuticals;
- apply knowledge of the physical and chemical essence of processes and operations in assessing the course of technological processes;
- observe relevant standards, standard analysis procedures in laboratories and operation sites, and technological discipline in chemical productions, work with technical and technological documentation, understand and observe legal regulations regarding chemistry, and observe the principles of good production and laboratory practice;
- manage small work teams and organise work at chemical operation sites and laboratories;
- understand the types, production, preparation, checking, storing and distribution of pharmaceuticals.
