3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- choose a suitable manner of cosmetic treatment;
- carry out skin treatment in a qualified manner (e.g. treating the skin surface, steaming and deep skin cleansing, peeling, cosmetic massage and applying face masks);
- carry out qualified independent cosmetic treatments (e.g. epilation, depilation, body care);
- carry out qualified manicures and pedicures;
- operate the workplace's equipment and carry out general maintenance on the equipment and instruments;
- safely handle the cosmetic preparations and correctly dispose of them;
- thoroughly uphold the principles of personal and work hygiene and the health regulations;
- recognise serious skin and nail disorders and diseased states of the upper and lower limbs and recommend a visit to the doctor in time;
- assess the suitability of cosmetic care from the standpoint of skin and nail diseases that may occur as well as a general internal illness;
- provide advisory services when caring for the skin on the face, neck, neckline and caring for the entire body;
- carry out makeovers for day, evening and special occasions;
- negotiate the purchase of preparations used in cosmetic care and selling them to customers;
- keep the requisite operational agenda;
- be familiar with the economic-legal provision of the business;
- present oneself in a professional and cultivated manner in relation to customers, co-workers and business partners.
