3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

General competences:

communicate independently and fluently in mother tongue, give reason for his own attitude;
seek out essential information from the text and other sources;
understand the task and solve simple problems, find the information necessary for the solution;
work or learn under supervision with certain autonomy, apply basic rules and procedures;
cooperate with others when solving simple problems and situations;
apply basic mathematic skills to solve simple tasks;
work with a personal computer and its basic and application software;
apply principles of safety and health protection at work, fire protection and fire prevention;
act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
have a basic knowledge of career opportunities in the labor market and of the job search process.

Vocational competences:

perform primary soil tillage, pre- sowing preparation and cultivation of the soil during the growing season;
apply manure and industrial fertilizers following instructions, sow and plant main types of cultivated plants;
treat plants during the growing season, carry out harvesting and post harvest treatment;
exercise a positive relationship and responsible attitude to animals, ensure animal welfare;
carry out rearing and breeding of animal species and categories (nursing, feeding, disease prevention, etc.);
milk and treat milk after milking;
carry out maintenance and minor repairs of the common agricultural mechanization;
drive motor vehicles group T (tractor).

4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE

Graduates may perform specific work in the area of agricultural primary production and services for agriculture, may perform simple tasks in the cultivation of plants or animals, in the operation and maintenance of agricultural technology, in the field of agritourism and landscape care, in the cultivation of fruits and vegetables, in the processing of vegetable and animal products within the farm.
Examples of possible jobs: farm laborer in the vegetable and animal production, animal keeper, tractor driver, milkmaid.
