3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- produce business letters in standard format, including foreign-language correspondence;
- use standard and more complex office technology;
- be well versed in the legal order and in legal standards related to business, commerce and finance;
- generate accounting documents and keep accounting records with the use of computer technology;
- undertake market research and evaluates the results;
- make use of marketing tools in presentations of a company and its products;
- generate a concrete business programme, found and direct his or her own company;
- carry on negotiations with business partners in a foreign language as well as his or her native language;
- be well versed in commercial and independent enterprise activities of market subjects;
- make use of knowledge of psychology in business practice;
- maintain principles of social behaviour, conduct, and demeanour;
- represent his or her company in an appropriate way and help to create the image of this company for the public.
