3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- know the materials, instruments, techniques and technologies and their development in the area of promotional and exhibition work;
- know the properties of the materials used, choose a suitable combination of them;
- work with the materials to a good level of skill;
- manage the techniques of working with paints, graphic and exhibition techniques, combine them;
- propose design solutions for large area and three dimensional promotional objects, an integral solution for promotional and exhibitory events, designs for using light advertising in the fronts of buildings;
- use creative approaches to achieve effective promotional means and exhibitory objects that work at a psychological level;
- justify the method selected for a design including the materials used;
- on the basis of an analysis of the task given select suitable techniques, technological procedures and the corresponding materials;
- realise models of expositions and independent exhibition elements according to design plans;
- use graphic programs when compiling designs and realising them.
