3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

General competences:

communicate independently and fluently in mother tongue, give reason for his own attitude;
work in a team;
use basic mathematics when needed;
apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

know the materials for making bags and saddles;
understand the technical documentation of products;
make and label work and cutting patters of individual sections and parts of the product;
prepare and work materials and assemble sections and parts of the product;
make simple products based on technological procedures;
operate machines and equipment in the tanning production and perform their regular maintenance;
store materials and finished products and assess their quality;
use materials and energies economically and in compliance with environmental protection.

4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE

The graduate is qualified to carry out a defined area of work activities as a bag and saddle maker, performing simple work activities in batch production and handicraft making of tanning products and in repairing and restoring custom-made products.
