3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- prepare, independently and in a team, educational-teaching projects for groups of children;
- organise and carry direct teaching and educational activities suitable for the children's age and development;
- have a broad range of didactic approaches and methodological practise and implement them into one's educational activities in a creative manner;
- have the basic knowledge of a person's biological and social needs and use it to support the children entrusted to one;
- understand and systematically develop the innate and acquired abilities of the children, in particular their intellectual, emotional, physical and social competencies;
- develop the children's aesthetic sentiment and creativity and their manual potential and skills;
- modify the educational programme with regards to the special needs of handicapped or talented children;
- have the knowledge and skills of pedagogical diagnostics;
- respect the legal norms concerning educational-teaching work and children's rights during one's work;
- form contacts, cooperate and, in a suitable manner, communicate with the children and their parents;
- know the rights and duties of pedagogical workers and be familiar with labour relations in the CR.
