3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:
 
  • be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
  • formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
  • educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
  • adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
  • work with information, use ICT;
  • use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
  • know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
  • act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
  • apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

  • perform and organise activities in mechanisation fleets and ensure the operation and effective use of the fleet;
  • ensure the production of machines and equipment and perform servicing and repairing;
  • organise the mechanisation equipment of operation buildings and manage work activities related to the operation of the fleet;
  • have a license to drive motor vehicles of group T (tractors), B (passenger vehicles), and C (freight vehicles);
  • perform and organise activities related to landscape creation and protection, ecological agriculture, and countryside development, in particular in respect to the used technology;
  • perform economic and business activities in agriculture and relevant services.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
The graduate can occupy middle technical and economic positions in mechanized operations of agricultural primary production, using and repairing agricultural technology and ensuring its functioning, in companies repairing agricultural and forest technology, diagnosing defects, and providing services, in the sale of agricultural, transportation, and handling equipment, in businesses providing mechanised services and other services for agriculture and countryside development, in landscape creation and protection, and in waste management.
Possible work positions: agricultural technician-machine operator, manager or technician in repair shops and facilities providing other services, salesman of agricultural technology, worker in consultation companies, farmer, businessman selling agricultural technology, spare parts, tools, and materials for agricultural technology, and technician in metalworking production, renovations, transportation companies, corporate sales-technical departments, state and municipal administration, etc.
