3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- work with different airline systems;
- apply the regulations and standards effective for check-in of passengers, baggage, goods and air mail;
- apply tariff rules, foreign currency rules and regulations, discounts and exceptions in transport of people, baggage and goods;
- look up flight connections in flight schedules and order, reserve, issue and sell airplane tickets;
- check in people and baggage;
- check in transfer passengers and arrange their accommodation;
- find alternative flights in case of problems;
- handle complaints of passengers whose baggage did not arrive or was damaged and handle situations with lost documents;
- do what is necessary in case of handicapped and very old passengers, accompanied and non-accompanied children, ill passengers, pregnant women, VIP passengers;
- communicate and know the technical terminology in two foreign languages;
- act as a professional and to solve unusual and problem situations with passengers;
- act in a professional and high-class manner and to have good manners.
