3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- assist clients in securing their living and social needs (hygiene habits and self-care, social contacts and activities, support clients capabilities);
- use methods and nursing care adequately to client´s age, state of health and social needs;
- know health and other social traits of selected groups of clients, particularly elderly people, handicapped people and families with a handicapped child;
- assist with the operation of client's home, prepare meals;
- communicate appropriately with client, ensure the ethics of the provision of social care and respect for human rights and social rights of clients;
- have knowledge of the social welfare system and social security schemes in the CR;
- use knowledge and skills of somatology and health care including health physical education, family education, psychology and pedagogy when working with clients;
- know the selected art and working techniques and procedures for making clothes and use them to support leisure time of clients.
