3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language;
- effectively organize and manage and participate in a team, including the ability to lead a team and cope with problematic situations;
- know how to use information and ICT, have basic ICT skills;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- understand design and technical documentation on land structures, read implementing installation drawings, and draw simple installation drawings;
- perform simple calculations of the consumption of materials consumption;
- choose, use, and maintain tools, mechanical equipment, and work aids for plumbing;
- choose plumbing materials and products, transport them to the place of work, and prepare them for plumbing;
- know plumbing technological procedures and choose work procedures;
- install, repair, and maintain the internal systems of water distribution, sanitation, heat distribution, and gas distribution;
- install, repair, and maintain fixtures, fittings, and appliances;
- know the systems of regulating and measuring of internal plumbing equipment and distribution lines;
- have basic knowledge about the external systems of water distribution, sanitation, heat distribution, and gas distribution;
- use work and materials standards;
- monitor and evaluate the quantity and quality of performed work;
- keep written documentation on performed work.
