3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- accept notification;
- use knowledge of psychology and pedagogy when dealing with people and solving problem situations;
- deal suitably with clients from various ethnic, religious and social groups;
- initiate and pursue criminal and administrative proceedings, especially about criminal acts and offences according to legal classification and within the extent of given competencies;
- conduct necessary investigations in the matter, including of evidence and keeping records;
- suggest and implement local safety measures in cooperation with other safety and rescue authorities;
- make a written record about investigations;
- implement executive measures for protection of the population in extraordinary situations in cooperation with forces of integrated rescue system;
- provide basic psychological support to a victim and recommend the help of an appropriate social institution;
- check observing safety and legal rules;
- provide advisory and consultation activity concerning the protection of public order and safety;
- oversee keeping records and observing archiving and shredding procedures, keeping and sorting of documents;
- follow principles of handling the correspondence during administrative work and activities;
- deal with traffic offences;
- apply the knowledge about surveillance of persons and property;
- anticipate reasons and estimate consequences of crime, use the principles of crime prevention.
