| 3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language;
- effectively organize and manage and participate in a team, including the ability to lead a team and cope with problematic situations;
- know how to use information and ICT, have basic ICT skills;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- carry out glazing work in accordance with the material and technical standards;
- glaze standard constructions with various dimensions and kinds, using putty and glazing profiles or mouldings,
- glaze complicated, special and large constructions with all kinds of glass and in various ways;
- glaze by using insulated double-glazing
- glaze roofs and skylights without putty;
- glaze shop windows with straight and curved glass, mount fully-glazed doors, mount walls and partitions from profiled glass and shaped bricks, glaze facades, etc;
- frame and glaze pictures;
- handle glass and distinguish materials according to characteristic traits;
- choose the putty and sealants;
- propose a technological procedure for glazing work, use modern work methods;
- mark off and cut flat tabular glass to specifications or according to measurements;
- prepare, use and maintain work aids and tools;
- prepare and organise the workplace.
