3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language;
- effectively organize and manage and participate in a team, including the ability to lead a team and cope with problematic situations;
- know how to use information and ICT, have basic ICT skills;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- choose a suitable hairstyle based on the quality and diagnosis of hair and in compliance with the request of a customer, health and hygiene regulations, technological procedures, aesthetic principles, and fashion trends;
- decide whether to provide hairdressing services in case of hair and scalp diseases;
- choose suitable hair preparations based on their properties and use;
- provide different types of scalp massages and perform surface and deep hair regeneration;
- hairstyle by cutting, by doing a perm or water wave, or by using electrical curling and flat irons;
- bleach, dye, highlight, and tint hair;
- change the look of a customer (shave, shape moustaches and beards, and dye eyelashes, eyebrows, moustaches, and beards);
- observe the principles of labour safety and health protection, health and hygiene regulations, and the principles of personal hygiene;
- advise customers;
- keep prescribed paperwork;
- act in a professional and refined manner and observe good manners;
- solve unusual and problem situations with customers, co-workers, and business partners.
