3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- understand and be familiar with the means of technical imagery, technical documentation, assess and process it;
- know the basic electrical and electronic circuits and their use in security and communications technology;
- know the special circuits and equipment used during analogue and digital information transfer;
- calculate the basic parameters of electrical circuits;
- know the properties of the measuring instruments used, the processing methods and the correct interpretations of the measured values;
- carry out special measurements in security and communications technology;
- master common and special measuring instruments (analogue and digital), know their properties and use them in specific situations;
- carry out assembly, electrical and wiring work;
- know the properties of special circuits and equipment used during digital and analogue information transfer;
- know the safety regulations when planning, producing, maintaining and operating security equipment and when working on this equipment;
- use the standards used in the CR and EU Member States.
