3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
General competences:
 
  • use suitable methods and techniques in learning and practical activities;
  • use basic experience and procedures in work activities;
  • deal with common life situations and difficulties, overcome them adequately to one’s abilities and/or, in some cases, with the assistance of another person;
  • call help when being in danger or when someone else is in danger;
  • in accordance with his/her capabilities, express oneself comprehensibly in oral, written or any other alternative form;
  • identify improper and risky behaviour.

Vocational competences:

  • exert fundamentals of occupational health and safety;
  • strive for quality of his/her work, products and services;
  • consolidate knowledge and skills needed as preparation for family life;
  • develop basic manual and working skills and knowledge in the field of housekeeping;
  • have basic knowledge in the field of nutrition and use healthy nutrition principles in preparation of meals;
  • use technological procedures in preparation of meals;
  • acquire basic skills for planning of activities related to economical shopping and keeping, storage and processing of food;
  • be capable of performing specific work activities according to the practical specialisation of the school educational programme in which they have received training, which reflects regional requirements and capabilities of students.
 
4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE 
Graduates from the two-year practical school have been trained to perform simple work activities in the field of services and production (e.g. in social and municipal services, in health care, in production plants, in agriculture), or to continue further training.
Examples of possible job positions include: ancillary staff, household staff.
