| 3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- ensure the constructional and technological preparation of production;
- use the product technical documentation when optimising production;
- produce, direct and organise operations on individual and mass production for furniture and wood products and constructions including the usage of wood waste;
- ensure, direct and organise the purchase of materials, semi-finished products and machine technical equipment;
- select and use suitable methods of storing, treating and preparing materials used in furniture and wood production;
- select and use suitable basic and auxiliary materials and semi-finished products for production, make sure they are used efficiently and disposed of after their lifespan and in an environmentally friendly;
- select and use suitable tools, machines and equipment, technological and production processes or variations of them;
- ensure, direct and organise work activities in the area of controlling production and quality control;
- direct and organise activities during the packaging, storage, transportation and transit of finished products;
- ensure, direct and organise sales and the purchase of finished products;
- pay attention to the aesthetic appearance of products and approach work in a creative manner.
