3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

General competences:

communicate independently and fluently in mother tongue, give reason for his own attitude;
seek out essential information from the text and other sources;
understand the task and solve simple problems, find the information necessary for the solution;
work or learn under supervision with certain autonomy, apply basic rules and procedures;
cooperate with others when solving simple problems and situations;
apply basic mathematic skills to solve simple tasks;
work with a personal computer and its basic and application software;
apply principles of safety and health protection at work, fire protection and fire prevention;
act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
have a basic knowledge of career opportunities in the labor market and of the job search process.

Vocational competences:

prepare the workplace;
select and use tools and equipment and maintain them;
operate simple mechanisms;
take over, transport and prepare materials for processing;
use materials and products for construction work;
comply with the technological and working procedures of the construction works;
perform simple work in the construction industry such as: excavation works; transport and storage of building materials; preparation, transportation, storage and maintenance of building mixtures; masoning of simple structures from various building materials; works during assembly and disassembly of scaffolding and supporting constructions; manipulation with the reinforcement; simple demolition works, cleaning of the workplace and manipulating with the construction waste;
reduce the negative impacts of the activities carried on the environment, recognize hazardous substances and dispose of waste in accordance with the applicable regulations.

4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE

The graduate is employed in the field of simple works in the building industry, in work activities such as: manual ground works including manual transport and storage of the material excavated, transport and storage of building materials; preparation, transportation, storage and maintenance of building mixtures; simple masonry; manipulation with the reinforcement; ancillary works in the construction of sewage and water networks, assembly and disassembly of scaffolding and supporting constructions; simple demolition work; cleaning of the workplace and manipulating with the construction waste.
Examples of possible jobs: construction worker.
