3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

General competences:

communicate independently and fluently in mother tongue, give reason for his own attitude;
work in a team;
use basic mathematics when needed;
apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.

Vocational competences:

choose, prepare and use the right materials for making hand-woven fabrics;
know and observe the technological procedures of making hand-woven fabrics and small woven products;
choose and use the right machine- technological equipment and tools;
operate the manual weaving loom and use the tools for other weaving techniques;
warp and to attach the warp to the loom and frame, etc.;
weave, using different weaving techniques, and weave, using basic warps;
efficiently utilise materials and scraps during production;
do finishing work, including sewing on a sewing machine or by hand, to assemble, complete, iron and pack woven products;
perform simple work activities based on instructions and under supervision in a weaving workshop.

4. RANGE OF OCCUPATIONS ACCESSIBLE TO THE HOLDER OF THE CERTIFICATE

The graduate can work be employed as a worker in textile and clothing production and hold the position of weaver in fabrics production.
Examples of possible jobs: weaver making hand-woven fabrics on weaving looms and making small woven products
