3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- understand the state social policy and its tools, in particular with respect to ethnic groups;
- know the basic legal regulations and how to work with them in order to help clients;
- understand the structure of public administration and the activity of public administration bodies and know basic administrative procedures;
- have the basic knowledge and skills in social work methods and community work with ethnic groups;
- understand the position and rights of ethnic groups and multicultural coexistence especially in the CR and the region and with respect to a specific minority group, in particular Roma;
- have the skills necessary for reinforcement of the legal awareness of citizens and for multicultural education;
- know how to apply the knowledge and skills in pedagogy, psychology, healthcare education and family education when working with clients;
- communicate with clients and observe professional ethics and rights of clients;
- use economic knowledge to understand the social policy and for work with clients;
- know the Roma ethnic group, its history and cultural traditions and have basic language skills.
