3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- use knowledge of the historical development and current trends in visual culture and artistic creation in its field;
- apply own artistic opinion, artistic perception, think and express themselves independently, search for and use inspirational sources;
- formulate clearly creative idea and content of artistic intention;
- choose between art solution based on analysis of the given task, assess and justify them;
- use visual and expressive possibilities of individual painting techniques, technological processes and materials;
- handle drawing, painting and graphic techniques and technologies;
- apply the principles of illustration-science, popular science, bibliophile;
- perform typography and design of printed materials and graphic design of books;
- present own work appropriately according to the specific situation;
- apply the principles of professional behaviour, communication, teamwork and psychological background in dealing with clients, business partners and colleagues;
- search for and use actively all available sources of information about new trends respective field.
