3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- apply knowledge from the field of machinery and machine parts for construction machinery and electrical equipment, search for relevant data in standards, diagrams and technical literature;
- apply knowledge of technical mechanics in engineering calculations;
- apply knowledge of the properties of technical materials and semi-products and their usage;
- use knowledge from the field of electrical engineering, electrotechnology and electrical measurements to understand the function of electrical machinery and equipment, including measuring instruments;
- process engineering and electrotechnical materials both by hand and machine cutting;
- use the skills of the technical drawing to process technical documentation;
- apply additional knowledge and skills, specific either for engineering or electrotechnical field.
Vocational competences specific for engineering:
- carry out evaluation activities when choosing optimal solutions for machine parts, machinery and equipment also in the field of technology, in terms of technical and economic aspect of the production process;
- use appliances to check the calibration and quality of products;
- draw up technological process for the production of machine parts and equipment;
- design technology to convert the semi-product into the product and define relevant tools, manufacturing equipment and utilities.
