3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language;
- effectively organize and manage and participate in a team, including the ability to lead a team and cope with problematic situations;
- know how to use information and ICT, have basic ICT skills;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- make custom-made and mass-produced wooden structures;
- choose and use the traditional procedures of carpentry production and determine the value and authenticity of products;
- perform professional carpentry work when making wooden structures and other carpentry products;
- mount carpentry products at sites;
- repair and refurbish carpentry products;
- work with designs and technical documentation of products, or a part thereof;
- purchase materials and semi-finished products for production;
- choose and use suitable methods of storing, handling, and preparing materials;
- choose and use suitable basic and auxiliary materials to make wooden structures;
- choose, use, tune up, and maintain work tools and technological equipment;
- choose and observe prescribed technological and work procedures of production, or variants thereof;
- perform production control and product quality control;
- choose and use suitable methods of storing, handling, transporting, and expediting finished products;
- sell finished products;
- keep operation records;
- observe an aesthetic look of products and be creative;
- use simple PC applications.
