3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language, use technical terminology;
- educate themselves, work in an effective way and assess impartially results;
- adapt themselves to the changing conditions of life and work, work well in a team and be responsible for assigned tasks;
- work with information, use ICT;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- know the present rights and duties of employers and employees and know how to conduct a job search;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- have an overview of the clothing materials, assess the properties of the materials and use knowledge in clothing production and business activities;
- read the technical documentation during clothes production and business activities, determine clothing materials consumption and small preparation;
- manage the basic procedures for designing and modelling clothes;
- determine the suitability of specific machines and equipment for processing a certain clothing product, service it, use knowledge of the machines and equipment in clothes production;
- know the procedures in clothes manufacture ( how to make basic types of clothes) and use sense of aesthetics during production;
- assess the clothes products from the functional, constructional, aesthetic and production-economics standpoint;
- carry out an analysis of faults and assess the quality of the clothing;
- use knowledge in market research, ensuring sales and publicity events;
- purchase and sell clothing materials and goods, choose suppliers according to given requirements i.e. range, cost, etc;
- manage basic business operations, negotiate suitably with customers, manage the problematic of trade operations.
