3. PROFILE OF SKILLS AND COMPETENCES |
General competences:
- be well informed about culture, history and the present of the Czech nation within the European and world context;
- formulate views and attitudes verbally and in writing, communicate in at least one other foreign language;
- effectively organize and manage and participate in a team, including the ability to lead a team and cope with problematic situations;
- know how to use information and ICT, have basic ICT skills;
- use basic mathematics and the basic principles of physics and chemistry when needed;
- act in an environmentally-conscious manner and in compliance with strategies for sustainability;
- apply the fundamentals of health, occupational safety, and fire prevention and safety.
Vocational competences:
- have an overview of the materials, machines and equipment used and the technological and production processes;
- assess the quality and properties of the material and the possibilities for processing them including the manner of testing;
- use constructional, modelling and design techniques when preparing a product;
- operate machines and equipment and use aids and tools for the given product group (luggage products and leather goods or gloves);
- care about the machines and equipment maintain them and make basic adjustments;
- make bags and fancy or glove goods, i.e. measure, core, cut out, and splice product parts, assemble the products according to the set technologies, production processes and technical documentation (section and part of stitching and join), make surface repairs and decorate the product;
- check product quality i.e. use a system for marking the products, use trade names and appraise and evaluate the product;
- form and process the required product patterns by hand and using computer graphic systems;
- select and apply the technological production process to processing the material to make a good quality final product or make a quality repair or renew the product;
- carry out specific activities when making a given group of products (bags and leather goods or gloves);
- apply new technological and aesthetic findings when making products, assess how fashionable the products are and how easy to sell;
- calculate prices for orders and negotiate with the customers at a suitably professional level .
